Sara Pun

Registered Provisional Psychologist
&
Certified Music Therapist

Sara Pun is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCC), a Certified Music Therapist with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (MTA), and a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association for Clinical Counsellors (RCC). Her education includes two Master's degrees in Counselling Psychology and Music Therapy.

Sara has been working in mental health for over 10 years in Canada and abroad. Sara is offering in person appointments, tele-counselling, and secure online video counselling.

Sara's approach is client centred and catered to meet each individual's needs. She works from a growth mindset that is integrative, strengths based, and trauma informed. Her practice draws from a variety of counselling modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and the Expressive Arts.

Sara has completed the Emotionally Focused Couples Externship by the International Centre of Excellence in Emotion Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). This is a highly effective and research supported therapy for couples. Sara has also completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for individuals, Guided Imagery and Music, trauma, and Indigenous awareness.

Sara works with adults, couples, students, and children. Issues include anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, career, and personal growth. She also works with specific issues related to women, highly sensitive individuals, and people from the LGBTQIA2S+ and BIPOC community.
